TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the tire pressure decreases, according to the signal from the skid control ECU, the tire pressure warn-
ing lamp in the combination meter assy comes on.
The tire pressure warning lamp also comes on when the tire pressure warning lamp signal becomes an open
circuit.
HINT:
Refer to the "TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP CHART" section in the "PRE-CHECK" for the tire pressure
warning lamp (See page 05-347 ).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CONFIRM VEHICLE MODELS
(a) Confirm the vehicle models.
Result:
w/o VSC A
w/ VSC B

2 INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY(TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP)
(a) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(-) (b) Connect the terminal 32 to batteries' positive (+) terminal,
and terminal 6 to batteries' negative (-) terminal of com-
bination meter assy, then check that the tire pressure
warning lamp comes on.
Standard:
Tire pressure warning lamp comes on.

3 CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY - COMBINATION
METER ASSY)
(a) Connect the combination meter assy connector.
Wire Harness Side: WTIR (+) (b) Disconnect the brake actuator assy connector.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(d) Measure the voltage between the terminal 21 (WTIR) of
the brake actuator assy wire harness side connector and
the body ground when tire pressure warning lamp comes
on.
Standard:
F44439 10 to 14 V
NOTICE:
As a water proof connector cannot be checked be from the
backside, check by connecting the sub-harness.
NG REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR
CONNECTOR
OK

4 INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY(TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP)
(a) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(-) (b) Connect the terminal 32 to batteries' positive (+) terminal,
and terminal 6 to batteries' negative (-) terminal of com-
bination meter assy, then check that the tire pressure
warning lamp comes on.
Standard:
Tire pressure warning lamp comes on.

5 CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY - COMBINATION
METER ASSY)
(a) Connect the combination meter connector.

(b) Disconnect the brake actuator assy.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(d) Measure the voltage between the terminal 26 (WTIR) of
the brake actuator assy wire harness side connector and
the body ground when tire pressure warning lamp comes
on.
Standard:
F45562 10 to 14 V
NOTICE:
As a water proof connector cannot be checked be from the
backside, check by connecting the sub-harness.
