(a) Disconnect the P13 and P14 ECU connectors, and check the voltage or resistance of each terminal
of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:

P14-2 (B) - Body ground B-R - Body ground Constant 10 to 14 V
P13-10 (ECUB) - Body ground W-L - Body ground Constant 10 to 14 V
P13-9 (IG) - Body ground B-R - Body ground Ignition switch OFF ON 0 V 10 to 14 V
P14-8 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Constant Below 1
P13-6 (MSW) - P13-5 (MSE) L-W Power back door main switch OFF ON Below 1 10 k or higher
P13-3 (HSW) - Body ground G-B - Body ground Back door opener switch OFF ON 10 k or higher Below 1
Power back door touch sensor LH
P13-14 (OSL) - P13-15 (OSE) G-W - Y-B

(b) Reconnect the ECU connectors, and check the voltage of each terminal of the connectors.

Body ground Body ground approx. 0.5 sec. when A*1 or B*2 switch is pressed so that the power back (2 cycles of approx. 0.5 sec.)

* 4 When any condition listed below is met, the warning buzzer turns off.
S Shift lever is moved into P position
S Back door is fully closed
HINT:
Use an oscilloscope to check the output voltages of the power back door main switch, buzzer and pulse sen-
sor.
If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
