DTC B2215 BACK DOOR CLOSER SWITCH
MALFUNCTION
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This DTC is output when a malfunction occurs in the position switch in the back door. This position switch
detects if the back door is in the latch position and sends a position signal to the power back door ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSY - POWER BACK DOOR ECU)
Wire Harness Side (a) Disconnect the B10 lock and P13 ECU connectors.
B10 (b) Check the resistance between the wire harness side con-

Standard (Check for open circuit):

(c) Check the resistance between the B10 lock connector
and body ground.

2 INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSY
(a) Check operation of the door lock.
(1) Using a screwdriver, push the latch in order to put
the back door lock in the locked condition (full-latch
position).
(2) Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1
and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
Then, check operation of the latch.
Standard: The latch turns to the open-latch position
(3) Inspect motor operation when battery voltage is ap-
plied to the terminals.
Standard:

Clockwise Motor in normal rotation
Full-latch Battery negative (-) Terminal 1

Counterclockwise (Motor in reverse rotation)

(1) Check the resistance between the terminals of the
