SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT (RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY - STE-
REO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSY)
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The radio and navigation assy sends a sound signal to the stereo component amplifier assy through this
circuit. The sound signal that has been sent is amplified by the stereo component amplifier assy, and then
sent to the speakers. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even
if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assy or speakers.

1 CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY - STEREO
COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSY)
Radio and Navigation Assy (a) Disconnect the radio and navigation assy connector R15
Wire Harness View: and stereo component amplifier assy connector S11.
R15 (b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the
R+ table below.
L+ Standard:
Tester connection Specified condition
L+ - L+ Below 1
SLD L- - L- Below 1
L- R- I38652 R+ - R+ Below 1
R- - R- Below 1
Stereo Component Amplifier Assy L+ - Body ground 10 k or higher
Wire Harness View: L- - Body ground 10 k or higher
R+ - Body ground 10 k or higher
S11 R- - Body ground 10 k or higher
SLD - Body ground 10 k or higher
