DTC B0112/41 SHORT IN SIDE SQUIB (RH) CIRCUIT (TO
GROUND)
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The side squib RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assy center and the separate type front seat back
assy (RH).
The circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.
DTC B0112/41 is recorded when a short to ground is detected in the side squib RH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO.2(SIDE SQUIB RH CIRCUIT)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Floor Wire No.2 (b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the bat-
tery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assy
Side Squib RH
C Assy center and the separate type front seat back assy (RH).
A Center (d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the
table below.

(a) Connect the connector to the airbag sensor assy center.
Floor Wire No.2 (b) Using a service wire, connect S19-1 (SFR+) and S19-2
Airbag
(SFR-) of connector "C".
Sensor NOTICE:
Side Squib RH C Assy Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the
Center connector when connecting.
D (c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
S19 and wait for at least 2 seconds.
SFR+ SFR- (d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(e) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
Service Wire (f) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
DLC3 DTC B0112/41 (g) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(h) Check the DTCs (see page 05-777 ).
OK:
CG DTC B0112/41 is not output.

3 CHECK SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT BACK ASSY(RH)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the bat-
Airbag tery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Sensor (c) Disconnect the service wire from connector "C".
Side Squib RH Assy (d) Connect the connector to the separate type front seat
Center
back assy (RH).
DC (e) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
and wait for at least 2 seconds.
DLC3 DTC B0112/41 (f) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(g) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
(h) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
CG TC (i) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at

HINT:
S Perform the simulation method by selecting the check mode with the hand-held tester (see page
05-780 ).
S After selecting the check mode, perform the simulation method by wiggling each connector of the air-
bag system or driving the vehicle on a city or rough road (see page 05-780 ).
