DTC B0131/64 OPEN IN P/T SQUIB (RH) CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The P/T squib RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assy center and the front seat outer belt assy RH.
This circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.
DTC B0131/64 is recorded when an open circuit detected in the P/T squib RH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO.2(P/T SQUIB RH CIRCUIT)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the bat-

tery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

2 CHECK AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
(a) Connect the connector to the airbag sensor assy center.
Airbag (b) Using a service wire, connect P45-1 (PR+) and P45-2
Sensor (PR-) of connector "C".
P/T Squib RH
C Assy NOTICE:
Center S Twist the end of the service wire in order to insert it
D into the connector.
S Do not forcibly insert the twisted service wire into the
P45
terminals of the connector when connecting.
(c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
PR+ and wait for at least 2 seconds.
PR-
(d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at

(e) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
DLC3 DTC B0131/64 (f) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(h) Check the DTCs (see page 05-777 ).

Codes other than code B0131/64 may be output at this time, but

3 CHECK FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH(P/T SQUIB RH)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the bat-
tery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Airbag (c) Disconnect the service wire from connector "C".
Sensor (d) Connect the connector to the front seat outer belt assy
P/T Squib RH Assy
RH.
Center
(e) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
DC and wait for at least 2 seconds.
DLC3 DTC B0131/64 (f) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(g) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
(h) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

(i) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at

DTC B0131/64 is not output.
HINT:

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (SEE PAGE 05-770 )
HINT:
S Perform the simulation method by selecting the check mode with the hand-held tester (see page
05-780 ).
S After selecting the check mode, perform the simulation method by wiggling each connector of the air-
bag system or driving the vehicle on a city or rough road (see page 05-780 ).
