DTC B1100/31 AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
MALFUNCTION
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assy center consists of a airbag sensor assy center, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis
circuit and ignition control, etc.
It receives signals from the airbag sensor, judges whether or not the SRS must be activated, and detects
a diagnosis system malfunction.
DTC B1100/31 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assy center.

S The airbag sensor assy center receives a line short circuit
signal, a short circuit to ground signal or a short circuit to
B+ signal in the front airbag sensor RH circuit for 2 se-

B1100/31 S The airbag sensor assy center receives a line short circuit S Instrument panel wire
signal, a short circuit to ground signal or a short circuit to S Engine room main wire
B+ signal in the front airbag sensor LH circuit for 2 se-
conds.
S Airbag sensor assy center malfunction
HINT:
When a trouble code is displayed simultaneously with B1100/31, repair the malfunction indicated by this
code (except B1100/31) first.

(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

(a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
DLC3 DTC B1100/31 (b) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
(c) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(e) Check the DTCs (see page 05-777 ).
CG TC OK:
H10600 H41086 DTC B1100/31 is not output.
