DTC B1152/28 PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR
CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator circuit consists of the airbag sensor assy center and the passenger
airbag ON/OFF indicator.
This circuit indicates the operation condition of the front passenger airbag assy, the front seat airbag assy
RH and passenger side seat belt pretensioner.
DTC B1152/28 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CHECK PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR OPERATION
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(b) Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
HINT:
Refer to the normal condition of the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator (see page 05-770 ).

A:
During period "A" in the illustration, even if both the "ON" and "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF
indicators normally come on, both of them do not go off during period "B".
During periods "A" and "B" in the illustration, even if both the "ON" and "OFF" passenger air-
bag ON/OFF indicators normally indicated, both of them come on during period "C".
B:
During period "A", neither the "ON" nor "OFF" passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators come on,
or one of them does not come on.
During period "C", even if the front passenger seat is occupied, neither the "ON" nor "OFF"
passenger airbag ON/OFF indicators come on.

2 CHECK AIRCONDITIONER AMPLIFIER ASSY(PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF
INDICATOR)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the bat-
tery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Disconnect the connector from the airconditioner amplifi-
er assy.
(d) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
and wait for at least 2 seconds.
(e) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
H45995 (f) Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
OK:
The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator ("ON" and
"OFF") do not come on.

Passenger Airbag (a) Connect the connectors to the airbag sensor assy center.
ON/OFF Indicator (b) Connect the connector to the airconditioner amplifier

Sensor (c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
Assy and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Center (d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
DTC B1152/28 (e) Clear the DTCs stored in memory (see page 05-777 ).
DLC3 (f) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
least 60 seconds.
(h) Check the DTCs (see page 05-777 ).

(a) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,

10 CHECK AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
Passenger Airbag (a) Connect the connectors to the airbag sensor assy center.
ON/OFF Indicator (b) Connect the connector to the airconditioner amplifier
Airbag assy.
Sensor (c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery,
Assy and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Center (d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at
