                      DRIVE SHAFT / PROPELLER SHAFT    -   REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH (FF)
                                                                                                      300JE-01


REPLACEMENT
HINT:
S    COMPONENTS: See page 30-45
S    Replace the RH side by the same procedures as the LH side.
1.   REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2.   SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH (DISC REAR BRAKE TYPE)
(a) Removing the 2 bolts, separate the rear disc brake caliper assy LH.
NOTICE:
Using a string and so on, hang down the disc brake caliper.
3.   REMOVE REAR DISC (DISC REAR BRAKE TYPE)
4.   REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSY (DRUM REAR BRAKE TYPE)
5.   SEPARATE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
(a) Disconnect the connecter.


                                               6.    REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH
                                               (a)   Remove the 4 bolts and hub & bearing assy LH.

                                               7.    INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH
                                               (a)   Install the hub & Bearing assy LH with the 4 bolts.
                                                     Torque: 56 Nm (571 kgfcm, 41 ftlbf)

8.  INSPECT BEARING BACKLASH (See page 30-3 )
9.  INSPECT AXLE HUB DEVIATION (See page 30-3 )
10. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
(a) Connect the connecter.
NOTICE:
Do not twist the sensor wire when connecting it.
11. INSTALL REAR DISC (DISC REAR BRAKE TYPE)
12. INSTALL REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSY (DRUM REAR BRAKE TYPE)
13. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH (DISC REAR BRAKE TYPE)
(a) Install the rear disc brake caliper assy LH with the 2 bolts.
    Torque: 88 Nm (900 kgfcm, 65 ftlbf)
14. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
    Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgfcm, 76 ftlbf)
