                      DRIVE SHAFT / PROPELLER SHAFT    -   REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH (4WD)

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
S    COMPONENTS: See page 30-48
S    Replace the RH side by the same procedures as the LH side.
1.   REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2.   REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH NUT (See page 30-32 )
     SST 09930-00010
3.   SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH
(a) Removing the 2 bolts, separate the rear disc brake caliper assy LH.
NOTICE:
Using a string and so on, hang down the disc brake caliper.
4.   REMOVE REAR DISC
5.   SEPARATE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
(a) Removing the bolt, separate the speed sensor rear LH.
NOTICE:
 S   Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
 S   Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the speed sensor.
6.   REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSY LH (See page 30-32 )


                                               7.    REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH
                                               (a)   Remove the 4 bolts and hub & bearing assy LH.

                                               8.    INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH
                                               (a)   Install the hub & bearing assy LH withe the 4 bolts.
                                                     Torque: 56 Nm (571 kgfcm, 41 ftlbf)

9.  INSPECT BEARING BACKLASH (See page 30-3 )
10. INSPECT AXLE HUB DEVIATION (See page 30-3 )
11. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSY LH (See page 30-32 )
12. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR REAR LH
(a) Install the bolt, connect the speed sensor rear LH.
    Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgfcm, 71 in.lbf)
NOTICE:
 S  Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
 S  Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the speed sensor.
 S  Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the sensor.

13.     INSTALL REAR DISC
14.     INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH
(a)     Install the rear disc brake caliper assy LH with the 2 bolts.
        Torque: 88 Nm (900 kgfcm, 65 ftlbf)
15.     INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT LH NUT (See page 30-32 )
16.     INSTALL REAR WHEEL
        Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgfcm, 76 ftlbf)
17.     CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a)     ABS WITH EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC SYSTEM (See page 05-435 )
