INSPECTION
1. INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY
1 (a) Inspect operation of the electrochromic inner mirror.
2
(1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to ter-
minal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
(2) Attach black colored tape to the forward sensor to
prevent it from operating.
(3) Light up the mirror with an electric light, and check

that the mirror surface changes from bright to dark.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.

2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
(a) Disconnect the mirror connector.
(b) Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the mirror
face, as shown in the table and illustration.
Standard (LH):
Measurement Condition Mirror Operation
Battery positive (+) EC+ (10)
Bright Dark Baatery negative (-) EC- (9)
Mirror surface changes to dark
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
