SEAT - REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

OVERHAUL
HINT:
The installation is in the reverse order of the removal. However, when there is a special point concerning
the installation, it is indicated.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT LEG SIDE GARNISH

SUB-ASSY LH
(a) Disengage the clips and remove the seat leg side garnish.

2. REMOVE REAR NO.2 SEAT ASSY LH
(a) Remove the bolt and locus cable.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and seat.
(c) Remove the 2 headrests.

3. REMOVE RH SEAT REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER
(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Remove the reclining cover by pulling it out in the arrow
mark direction shown in the illustration.

4. REMOVE LH SEAT REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Remove the reclining cover by pulling it out in the arrow
mark direction shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH
(a) Disengage the reclining remote control cable.
(b) Disengage the rear seat lock release strap cable.
(c) Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.
6. REMOVE REAR NO.2 SEAT LAP BELT ASSY CENTER W/INNER LH
(a) Remove the bolt and lap belt.
7. REMOVE RR SEAT COVER BEZEL NO.2
(a) Remove the 5 screws and cover bezel.
8. REMOVE NO. 2 SEATBACK LOCK CONTROL BEZEL
(a) Remove the screw and lock control bezel.

9. REMOVE NO. 2 SEATBACK COVER LH
(a) Disengage the claw and remove the 4 headrest supports.
(b) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover together with
the pad.
(c) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK RELEASE STRAP ASSY
(a) Remove the nut and lock release strap.

11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK CONNECTING LH WIRE
(a) Remove the screw and connecting wire.
12. REMOVE RECLINING RELEASE HANDLE SUB-ASSY LH
(a) Remove the nut and reclining release handle.
13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE NO.2 LH
(a) Remove the nut and reclining adjuster release handle.
14. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER LH
(a) Remove the bolt and seat belt.
15. REMOVE REAR NO.2 SEAT BELT ASSY INNER LH
(a) Remove the bolt and seat belt.
16. REMOVE NO.2 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSY LH
(a) Remove the hog rings and cushion cover together with the pad.
(b) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.
17. REMOVE LOCUS CABLE LH
(a) Remove the nut and locus cable.
18. REMOVE NO.2 SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSY LH
19. REMOVE REAR SEAT STAY SUB-ASSY
(a) Remove the nut and seat stay.
20. INSTALL REAR SEAT STAY SUB-ASSY
(a) Install the seat stay with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf)
21. INSTALL LOCUS CABLE LH
(a) Install the locus cable with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf)

22. INSTALL NO.2 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSY
Hog Ring Pliers LH
(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the
seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
S Be careful not to damage the cover.
S When installing the hog rings, take care to prevent
wrinkles as much as possible.

23. INSTALL REAR NO.2 SEAT BELT ASSY INNER LH
(a) Install the seat belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgfcm, 31 ftlbf)
24. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER LH
(a) Install the seat belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgfcm, 31 ftlbf)
25. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE NO.2 LH
(a) Install the reclining adjuster release handle with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf)
26. INSTALL RECLINING RELEASE HANDLE SUB-ASSY LH
(a) Install the reclining release handle with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf)
27. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK RELEASE STRAP ASSY
(a) Install the lock release strap with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgfcm, 49 in.lbf)
28. INSTALL NO. 2 SEATBACK COVER LH
Hog Ring Pliers (a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the
seatback pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
S Be careful not to damage the cover.
S When installing the hog rings, take care to prevent
wrinkles as much as possible.
(b) Install the 4 headrest supports.

29. INSTALL REAR NO.2 SEAT LAP BELT ASSY CENTER W/INNER LH
(a) Install the lap belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgfcm, 31 ftlbf)
30. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH
(a) Install the seatback with the bolt.
Torque: 44 Nm (449 kgfcm, 32 ftlbf)
31. INSTALL REAR NO.2 SEAT ASSY LH
(a) Place the seat in the cabin.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the body.
(b) Install the seat with the bolt.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgfcm, 21 ftlbf)
(c) Install the locus cable with the bolt.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgfcm, 21 ftlbf)

(d) Install the 2 headrests.
HINT:
Check that the seat leg locks.
