INSPECTION
1. INSPECT DRIVER DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK
SWITCH CONTINUITY
Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
LOCK LOCK 3-5 Continuity
OFF 3 - 5, 3 - 6 No continuity
UNLOCK 3-6 Continuity
UNLOCK I18691 If the continuity is not as specified, replace the door lock assem-
bly.
2. INSPECT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR KEY LOCK AND
UNLOCK SWITCH CONTINUITY
Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
LOCK 2-4 Continuity
LOCK OFF 1 - 4, 2 - 4 No continuity
UNLOCK 1-4 Continuity
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the door lock assem-
UNLOCK bly.

6. INSPECT REAR RIGHT DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION

I27632 If the continuity is not as specified, replace the door lock assem-
bly.
2 1 2 1 7. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK MOTOR OPERA-
TION
(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that
the door lock cable moves to the UNLOCK position.
(b) Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock cable
moves to the LOCK position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

8. INSPECT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK MOTOR

OPERATION
(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 6, and check that
the door lock cable moves to the UNLOCK position.
(b) Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock cable
moves to the LOCK position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
