SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM   -   OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (Except Separate   RS-157
                                    Seat)

                        INSTALLATION
                        NOTICE:
                         S  Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When re-
                            placing the parts, replace them with new ones.
                         S  Never reuse an occupant classification ECU involved
                            in a collision when the airbag has deployed.
                         S  If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped,
                            or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the
                            case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
                         S  When installing the occupant classification ECU, be
                            careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with
                            other parts and that it is not pinched between other
                            parts.
                         S  After installing, shake the occupant classification
                            ECU to check that there is no looseness.




                        1.   INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU
                        (a)  Install the occupant classification ECU with new 2 bolts.
                             Torque: 3.0 Nm (30 kgfcm, 27 in.lbf)
                        NOTICE:
                        When replacing the occupant classification ECU, replace
                        the bolts with new one.
                        (b) Connect the connector to the occupant classification
                             ECU.

                             INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
                             (SEE PAGE BO-201)
                        3.   Bench type:
                             INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
                             (SEE PAGE BO-175)
                        4.   CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMI-
                             NAL
                        5.   When only occupant classification ECU is replaced:
                             REGISTRATION (SEE PAGE DI-1828-1)
                        6.   PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSI-
                             TIVITY CHECK (SEE PAGE DI-1829)
                        7.   INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE PAGE DI-1839)
