REMOVAL
NOTICE:
S If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected
with the ignition switch in the ON position, DTCs will
be recorded.
S Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When re-
placing the parts, replace them with new ones.
S Never reuse an occupant classification sensor if a air-
bag has previously deployed in a collision.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY
TERMINAL
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the
airbag working.

29. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classifica-
tion sensor.
(b) Cut the band clamp from the seat cushion frame.
(c) Disengage the clamps from the seat cushion frame.
(d) Remove the 2 clips and the occupant classification sen-
sor.
