INSTALLATION
NOTICE:
S Install new parts from prepared service kits.
S Never use SRS parts from another vehicle.
S Never reuse a occupant classification sensor in-
volved in a collision when the airbag has deployed.
S If the occupant classification sensor has been
dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other de-
fects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with
a new one.
S When installing the occupant classification sensor,
be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with
other parts and that it is not pinched between other
parts.
S After installing, shake the occupant classification
sensor to check that there is no looseness.
1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR
(a) Install the occupant classification sensor with the 2 clips.
(b) Engage the clamps to the seat cushion frame.
(c) Fix the tube by new band clamp on the marking on the
outer side of the occupant classification sensor.
HINT:
Leave the end of the band clamp 5 to 10 mm (0.20 to 0.39 in.)
and cut.
(d) Connect the connector to the occupant classification sen-
sor.
