Abstract
This document describes the test installation instruction for standard repair package for R320.
Application
This document contains information about what software and hardware that must be installed
and how to perform the installation and configuration for standard service package for R320.

Standard Test Installation Instructions
1 General
The standard service package consists of a test set, a computer and interface cables. A
hardlockis required for security reasons.
2 Hardware
All test hardware must be approved by Ericsson and is documented in the Equipment List.
2.1 Test set
A test set approved according to the Instruments List must be used.
Test set installation according to the instrument manufacturer instructions.
Test script software and options according to the Instruments List must be present.
2.2 Antenna cable
Connect the antenna cable between the RF-port of the instrument and the antenna connector.
2.3 Computer
IBM compatible computer with Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT.
2.4 Hardlock
Hardlock with article number KRY 105 165 is required. The hardlock should be connected to
the parallel port.
2.5 Service cable
Connect the service cable to one of the serial ports on the PC and to the system connector
according to the figure below.

2.6 IR test eye
Install according to the manual supplied with the IR test eye.
3 Software
No repair shell is required.
3.1 Emma shell
1. Download Emma shell if not already installed and all R320 software into an empty
directory.
2. Start the downloaded EXE file from Windows RUN option, the software will now self-
extract into more files.
3. Start SETUP.EXE in the temporary directory from Windows RUN option.
4. There will be on-line instructions during the installation.
5. The software is installed in the proper shell under the flash directory.
6. Erase all files in the temporary directory
The Software is self-instructing and gives on-line instructions if needed.
