Mann resistors were also used, in large quantities, to manufacture bespoke instruments, such as high voltage dividers.
In 1983 the company was bought by Vishay, who also had a significant interest in precision resistors. The name Vishay-Mann was used for some time, but the Mann product line now seems to have largely disappeared.
