The CYBER Supermini Operations Handbook is for the CYBER
Supermini operator. As the operator, you will perform such tasks as
starting and shutting down the system, allowing users access to the
system and determining the privileges of each user, assigning tapes to
users, maintaining the tape drive, maintaining the printer, maintaining
files, and installing new software. Some of these tasks are
administrative and some are operational.

You should not need an extensive background in computers to
understand how to do these tasks. This book gives you enough
information to perform routine procedures, solve common problems, and
gather information for an analyst to use. If a problem is beyond the
scope of this book and involves CYBER Supermini hardware and
software that Control Data supplies, you should call your Control Data
